About the Bank – Privacy & Security

Important information about procedures for opening a new account

We support efforts to protect and maintain the security of our customers and our country as required by Section 326 of the USA PATRIOT Act.

To help our government fight the financing of terrorism and money laundering activities, and various forms of fraud, such as identity fraud, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for customers of Framingham Co-operative Bank

  • When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and US tax identification number.
  • We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents to verify your identity.

We thank our customers for their support in this effort.
